October Makeup Haul; With Reviews

Last week Kmart and Priceline were having big makeup sales so I got a few things :)

 Brush, connecting tube, gel pot

Rimmel Gel Liner

I was really excited about trying Rimmel's gel liner but I was slightly disappointed. I love the fact that the brush connects with the pot so its easy to travel with for touch ups without messing up your makeup bag. But, the formula is soo creamy it isn't good for all day wear. The flattened brush is easy to use to create a winged eyeliner look. (thin and thick side) The liner seems to come off easily into my crease (maybe I have oily eyelids?)
I wouldn't recommend this gel liner as it doesn't last and rubs into my crease leaving a line. I think the BYS one is better, but maybe this one could be fixed with some black eye shadow on top.

Kate Moss Rimmel Lipstick Collection #16

I love this bright pink color and the formula is great. It's long lasting and doesn't smudge too much or get on my teeth. I think the packaging is also really nice. (Matte black)

Rimmel Stay Matte Concealer Stick

I'm really happy with this concealer. The formula is not creamy, its quite dry and it covers and blends into the skin well. There were two colors  and I got the lightest one. I love how in the middle of the concealer there is a green dot, which is to cover redness. The packaging is really nice and easy to travel with. It is fantastic for blemishes, but I wouldn't recommend it for under the eyes or the eyelids if you have oily lids or creases under the eyes as the concealer tends to go in the creases.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara

I haven't decided how I feel about this mascara. I wanted to try it because youtuber Macbarbie07 loved it but it has its ups and downs. It does give a sort of false lash effect, the spoon shape really helps and the bristles are nice and long. What I was disappointed about in this mascara is that it smudges quite easily and takes a while to dry. If I wear this for a whole day I will always get a smudge under my eyes. (maybe my eyelids are too oily?) So next time Maybelline is on sale I'm going to pick up the waterproof one to see if it makes any difference.

48 Red Carpet & 12 Sparkling Miracle

Essence Lipsticks

These lipsticks kind of remind of Revlon's lip butters. They give colour but they have a lip balm consistency to them. I think the colours are great.

Essence Eyeliner and Eyebrow pencil

Honestly I haven't yet tried the eyeliner but I am very happy with the eyebrow pencil. It's a dark pencil colour and my hair isn't that dark, but with just a little of this pencil and my brows look so much more defined. The brush on the lid is amazing, it really smoothes out the pencil so it doesn't look like you have drawn over your brows at all.

Essence Sharpener
Works fine, no complaints, pretty colour :)

Essence Natural Eyeshadows

I havent used these on my eyes yet, but on my arm they seem to be fairly pigmented. I just hope they last and aren't going to stick in the crease of my eyelid.
