If you follow my Instagram you have probably seen this photo already.. (I know I take too long to upload hauls ><)
Last week I went shopping with mum on her day off and I apparently bought a lot of pink things haha
Kate Hill
Kate Hill was having a 27 hour sale online so I went to have a look at a couple of things in the shop so when I got home I could order them if I wanted but the sales assistant was nice enough to let me have these items the same as the sale price online ^^
I needed a new wallet as the wallet I got on boxing day is too chunky and it just feels like it takes up so much room in my bag, so when I saw this wallet was $30 down from $60 and it was fairly new I couldn't say no.
Here's the link to wallet if you want to buy it online ^^
I'm thinking of selling my old one for $20 (pic below) seems its basically new and I got it for $30
I also got this small hot pink velvet bag for $20. Online it says it was $30 but instore the price tag said it was $40 so.. I'm not really sure on the original price. Here's the link if you want to buy it.
Valleygirl
I have been looking for a plain pink sweater everywhere, but they all seem to be misshaped and then I saw this one in Valleygirl for $20 ^^
I saw this dress about a month ago when it first came out and it was $35, then when I went shopping with mum it was on sale for $20.. I tried it on and it looked so pretty! It reminds me of an Allannah Hill style dress.
Crabtree and Evelyn
And lastly from Crabtree and Evelyn I got a hand sanitiser. I got the pomegranate one and it smells really nice, but it's so strong! But what I really like about this hand sanitiser is that it doesn't dry your hands at all, it keeps them soft. This was $6.00 (I think the cheapest thing in the shop :P)
And if you're wondering my nails are from this post :)
I decided to create my own nail art challenge that goes for 15 days!
I can never decide what to paint on my nails and sometimes I'm indecisive for hours and it ends up being too late to paint them. So I had a look on Google images for some nail art challenges. There were quite a few challenges but some of the days I wanted to skip.. so I wrote down all the ones that caught my eye, randomised them on random.org and ta-daa!
I'm really excited! I think the Movie/Tv Show, Cartoon and Disney will be the most challenging, but I can't wait til I have completed the list!
I'll definitely upload all the designs I do onto this blog and my Instagram, I'm praying that the designs don't chip until I get photos D:
Just a pre-warning.. this challenge will take me more than 15 days for a few reasons.. I work on weekends which means my nailpolish will chip off, I can't redo my nails every day because they get extremely dry and I have placement coming up in 2 weeks, which means no nail polish whatsoever (well maybe just a nude one >>)
Feel free to do this challenge too and please tag me on Instagram or leave a comment on here with a link so I can see! :D
On Valentines Day I wasn't doing much so I went shopping and picked up a few things on sale ^^
Revlon 'Drop Dead Gorgeous Daily' nail polish set
Polishes Included:
Lilac - 250 Flirt
Blue - 410 Dreamer
Brown - 380 Elegant
Swatches
Elegant, Dreamer, Flirt
(sorry the swatches are back to front)
Priceline had a stand with discounted Revlon products on it, including single nail polishes ($5) eyeliners, lipliners and this nail polish set. Orignally the set was $25, but on sale I got it for $10! I'm not really a fan of brown nail polish but I figured it would be good for nail art for things like bears or chocolate or cakes or something.. haha
I love love love the blue colour, its so pretty! and the lilac is really pretty too~ but I realised when I got home that I already had the lilac colour.. oh well 3 nail polishes for $10 works out to about $3.30 each! For Revlon I think this was a great deal~
Lip Stick, Stains and Lipliners~
Chemist Warehouse were having a sale ( 2 x Revlon lip products for the price of 1, plus %15 off) So I got a matte red lipstick in 006 Really Red and the balm stain shown below. I decided to get this lip stick because of a post I saw on the Makeup Geek website. link The swatch showed the lipstick was a cool matte red, it looked really nice.
This balm stain is the 5th I've bought.. I love these balm stains ^^ The colour is 001 Honey.
I bought a lipliner from Essence to go with the Revlon lipstick in 08 Red Blush, I think it was about $2.30 from Priceline.
Top: Revlon Balm Stain in 001 Honey Swatch
Middle: Revlon matte lipstick in 006 Really Red Swatch
Bottom: Essence lipliner in 08 Red blush Swatch
Formula 10.0.6 Pure Pores Duo
I have been thinking about trying Formula 10.0.6 for a while now and it seemed like perfect timing when my Proactiv ran out (which is a ton of money to replace) and I spotted these packs in Priceline. Usually the tubes are about $9 each, so when I saw the face scrub and mask in a pack for $13 I got it straight away~
As you can see in the photos, a little goes a long way. The amount of scrub in the photo is enough to clean your whole face. I've heard some people saying it was too rough for their face, but I liked it, I felt like it was really getting into my pores and my face feels throughly cleaned afterwards. Plus it smells really nice.
For the mask you need a little bit more than what is shown in the photo, but it's worth it. It dries sort of velvet-y on your face and once you wash it off your skin feels really soft. This smells really nice too~
I found a picture on Instagram of these really pretty nails. They had a white background and a gold stripe going down the nail, with a pink and purple stripe either side. I decided to try it out and this was the result.
It was more difficult than I anticipated but I am happy with the outcome. The white polish needed a thick layer to be opaque in one coat, so the nail already had quite a bit of nail polish on it. The gold stripe was easy because it was a striping brush and I painted it down the middle. The pink polish was also a striper, but I kept making it too thick. The purple was a Chi Chi polish from this review l and I used a nail art brush for the thin line. I did have to clean up the lines with a white striper, but as I said before I am pretty happy with how it came out ^^
Polishes Used
Sally Hansen: White On
Art Deco: gold glitter striper
Nabi: stiper in Rose
Chi Chi: purple from the Fashionista collection
BYS: white striper
Rimmel: Matte Top Coat

I love this design, it's simple but so pretty! Congrats to Spektor's Nails for a great design :)
Using a vanilla Donna Hay Recipe I made these cupcakes!
I put pink food dye in the cake batter, mixed the same food dye into melted white chocolate and put it into an heart shaped ice cube tray and let it set in the fridge. I frosted the cupcakes with the vanilla icing once they were cool, popped out the chocolate hearts and placed them on top and sprinkled them with grated milk chocolate.
I know I haven't done a haul in a while so I have 2 hauls to make up for it! The clothes in this haul were all bought at different times, so that's why I haven't posted them yet ^^
This skirt is from Ice, it's a pleather circle skirt that sits on my waist. I got it for $15 and I think it started at $20. I got a large seems the medium was just a little tight on my waist and was a bit short. (omg my size varies so much)
I got this top from Cotton On in January, it's sheer and hot pink. I got a size small and it fits me properly. It sits on the top of the hips. I can't really remember the price, but it was about $5-10.
From Ally Fashion I got this top online (free shipping yay!) for $5. It's a little bit itchy which is the only problem. So yea apart from that I love it, especially the embroided pattern.
I got this top from Temt to go with the pleather skirt but it was hot the day I was planning to wear it on. Oh well.. it's really comfy and it's not sheer so I don't need a singlet or anything underneath! I got a size 10 and it was $15
I just realised there's no Valleygirl clothes in this haul! (well I guess Temt is it's sister shop.. haha) But there's a first time for everything ;)
I was doing my nails the other night and I was trying to paint the petals of the roses separately and one at a time on the pink spots. Then I decided to try to swirl the nail polish with a dotting tool to create the petals and it worked! I posted a picture on instagram of my nails and people liked it and friends and family members asked how I did this, so I thought I'd upload a tutorial (considering its so easy!)
I love how this manicure is so cute and pretty and the colours all work so well together!
I made a video tutorial for this manicure on youtube~
Tip: When putting the light pink on the dark pink, wait a couple of seconds for the polish to get 'sticky' and it will create nicer petals. If you swirl it straight away (as you can see in the video) it sort of covers the med pink instead of leaving spaces to show the petals.
Polishes Used:
Sally Hansen - White On
Ulta 3 - Pink Hibiscus
Ulta 3 - Sea Breeze Swirl
OPI - Fly
OPI - Pink Friday
Sally Hansen - Disco Ball
I hope you like it! If you try it tag me @besweetxo on instragram or twitter, I'd love to see it! :)
Hey guys I know I haven't done a review in a while and I got this set from my friend for Christmas and I love it!
It comes with 8 nail polishes, including 1 pearl, 1 shimmer, 3 glitter and 3 glossy. It has a great range of different types of polishes and the colours go together really well.
For those of you who prefer videos here is a video showing the swatches:
The Packaging was really cute with a zigzag type pattern on the box and a mirror background behind the polishes. Once you open the box from the side they are easy to get out. One thing I love about Chi Chi cosmetics is that they don't test on animals, on their boxes it says 'only tested on family and friends'.
Swatches!
As you can see there is a big difference between 1 coat and two coats with these polishes. 1 coat appears very sheer but all of these polishes only needed 2 coats to achieve a wearable look.
Seperate swatches and reviews
Polishes are in the order they came in in the box ^^
