Kmart Haul

I know Kmart isn't the most fabulous place to shop, but I swear they have the best prices, and some of their stuff is really nice!

I got two pairs of shoes, pj shorts, board shorts and a summer dress

I needed sandals for the hot days during summer because the ones I have at the moment keep scratching my feet, I found these ones and they're rubber-y so they wont scratch my feet and they're so comfortable! They were $19.00

Unlike most people I really don't want to pay $90 for a pair of Vans so I'm happy with a look-a-like Kmart pair that were $12.00

I got these pj shorts and they were only $4! They're thin so they'll be comfortable in summer.

I got these shorts to go with these bathers from my Cotton On sale haul, but the spots on the shorts are a little smaller than the ones on the bathers, so I might return them.

Lastly I got this dress which was $15, not bad for a simple summer dress, and it's nice and thin too!

What To Do For Halloween?!?!?

So basically I have no idea what I'm going to dress up as for Halloween!
A couple of friends from uni and I are hopefully going to watch scary movies and go get maccas or something on the weekend after Halloween. Unfortunately it's in the middle of the week and because our course is ridiculous, we had to save our get together for the weekend. But no worries because these girls are amazing and it'll be fun anyway :)

So down to the choices so far..

Vampire or Broken Porcelain Doll?

Makeup and Clothes Haul 21/10/12

On Friday I went shopping again and I went just under my budget! yay! I'm spending way too much money lately so I decided to set a limit of $50 per week and last Friday it worked :)
So onto the things I got..

From Valleygirl I got a top and pink shorts. The top was $4.95 (was $9.95) and the shorts were $9.95.I love the lace detail on the top and the bow at the back of it and the light pink colour of the shorts.

From Cotton On Body i got these pj shorts for $10.00, not sure how much they were originally, probably around $15-20.

From Big W I got some more Garnier BB Cream (on sale for $10, was $13). This stuff is AMAZING. I originally was persuaded to buy it by Singaporean blogger Xiaxue. She gave a detailed review on it and it made me really want to try it. If you wear this with a little bit of powder your skin looks flawless, and its much nicer than the thickness of a foundation. Just be careful when choosing the colour, I got medium the first time I bought it and it was way too dark, but now I get the light shade and it's perfect. Definetely try this :)

110 Pink Gossip
010 Raspberry Pie

top 110
bottom 010

From Priceline I got a Rimmel lipstick 110  (on sale for $6) and from Big W I got a Revlon Lip Butter (on sale for $14, was $21). I had been wanting to try lip butters for ages, but they were way out of my price range, so when I saw they were on sale I picked one up and I'm glad I did. I love it :) The colour is a deep pinky-red and it's so pretty!

October Makeup Haul; With Reviews

Last week Kmart and Priceline were having big makeup sales so I got a few things :)

 Brush, connecting tube, gel pot

 2 strokes, 1 stroke, 1 stroke

Rimmel Gel Liner

I was really excited about trying Rimmel's gel liner but I was slightly disappointed. I love the fact that the brush connects with the pot so its easy to travel with for touch ups without messing up your makeup bag. But, the formula is soo creamy it isn't good for all day wear. The flattened brush is easy to use to create a winged eyeliner look. (thin and thick side) The liner seems to come off easily into my crease (maybe I have oily eyelids?)
I wouldn't recommend this gel liner as it doesn't last and rubs into my crease leaving a line. I think the BYS one is better, but maybe this one could be fixed with some black eye shadow on top.

Kate Moss Rimmel Lipstick Collection #16

I love this bright pink color and the formula is great. It's long lasting and doesn't smudge too much or get on my teeth. I think the packaging is also really nice. (Matte black)

2 strokes, 1 stroke

Rimmel Stay Matte Concealer Stick

I'm really happy with this concealer. The formula is not creamy, its quite dry and it covers and blends into the skin well. There were two colors  and I got the lightest one. I love how in the middle of the concealer there is a green dot, which is to cover redness. The packaging is really nice and easy to travel with. It is fantastic for blemishes, but I wouldn't recommend it for under the eyes or the eyelids if you have oily lids or creases under the eyes as the concealer tends to go in the creases.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara

I haven't decided how I feel about this mascara. I wanted to try it because youtuber Macbarbie07 loved it but it has its ups and downs. It does give a sort of false lash effect, the spoon shape really helps and the bristles are nice and long. What I was disappointed about in this mascara is that it smudges quite easily and takes a while to dry. If I wear this for a whole day I will always get a smudge under my eyes. (maybe my eyelids are too oily?) So next time Maybelline is on sale I'm going to pick up the waterproof one to see if it makes any difference.

48 Red Carpet & 12 Sparkling Miracle

Essence Lipsticks

These lipsticks kind of remind of Revlon's lip butters. They give colour but they have a lip balm consistency to them. I think the colours are great.

Essence Eyeliner and Eyebrow pencil

Honestly I haven't yet tried the eyeliner but I am very happy with the eyebrow pencil. It's a dark pencil colour and my hair isn't that dark, but with just a little of this pencil and my brows look so much more defined. The brush on the lid is amazing, it really smoothes out the pencil so it doesn't look like you have drawn over your brows at all.

Essence Sharpener
Works fine, no complaints, pretty colour :)

Essence Natural Eyeshadows

I havent used these on my eyes yet, but on my arm they seem to be fairly pigmented. I just hope they last and aren't going to stick in the crease of my eyelid.
